Happy Happy Friday, friends!! It's been a busy week, and I am SO excited for the weekend. I'm headed to San Diego, and can't wait to hang with family and celebrate my sweet niece's first birthday!

Before I go, though, I wanted to share some favorite June finds + picks:

1 //  "Wipeout" by Stephanie Sherman //  Serena & Lily //  $375 framed print - Much like the wave and beach art that I've been drawn to lately, this surfing photo definitely says summer to me! Love.

2 //  Hot Pink Moroccan Wool Pom Pom Blanket //  MoroccanTribal on etsy //  $180 - I SO don't need a blanket this time of year, but this amazing hot pink striped one is making me want to reconsider ;)

3 //  Indigo Blue Nakur Pillow //  Lulu & Georgia //  $74 - Love the indigo blue shade of this pillow, and the tribal inspired pattern is awesome.

4 //  Deodorant Cream //  Soapwallakitchen on etsy //  $14 - Here's something I never thought I'd say in a million years: I am obsessed with this deodorant! It's all-natural, vegan, and doesn't contain all of the harmful chemicals found in commercial deodorants/antiperspirants. It contains essential oils that gives it a really fresh scent, and it seriously works better than any other deodorant I've ever used. Highly recommend!

5 //  Dark Tan Chlambake Sandals //  Aerosole, via Macy's //  $49.99 - I also never thought I'd say that I'm obsessed with Aerosole shoes of any kind, but I am totally obsessed these sandals!! The footbed is cushioned (unlike most sandals in this style), so not only are they super cute, but they're by far the comfiest sandals I've ever owned. They also come in lots of other fun colors (I got them in three colors, so I've been wearing them every day, no joke!)

6 //  He & I art print //  Britt Bass //  $25 and up - I love the bright, vibrant colors of this print - it's just so summery, isn't it? Plus, I like that it comes in several sizes, so it can be a large statement piece, or a small, fun addition to a gallery wall.

7 //  Navy Audrey Lamp //  Lulu & Georgia //  $203 - This table lamp is substantial in size, and has such a great shape! It comes in lots of other fun colors, too.

8 //  Moscow Mule Copper Cups //  Sur La Table //  $19.95 - I've been wanting copper Moscow Mule cups for forever, and finally pulled the trigger on some. They are SO worth the price, and totally make summer drinks a million times better.

9 //  Sand Glaze Vases //  West Elm //  $9.99-$19 - I love the texture of these vases, and of course the blue + neutral color palette is always a win in my book!

Interiors i love // DISC Interiors

I recently came across several different spaces by DISC Interiors that I really loved, and wanted to share. This was yet another case where I found myself admiring several similar spaces, and only later realized that they were by the same designer, and in some cases, from the same home!

What I really love about these spaces by DISC Interiors is the layered, textured, and collected quality of them. I also admire the diversity of their portfolio, and that their design aesthetic seems to work just as well in a modern loft space as a traditional Spanish Colonial style home. They achieve this by seamlessly blending clean, modern furnishings with aged, worn pieces, and also masculine elements with more feminine, pretty details. All in all, I'm such a fan, and here are some of my favorite spaces by them:

The three rooms above were what originally led me to DISC Interiors - I just love the Old World-meets-modern feel to these spaces. They definitely have a limited color palette, but are kept interesting with varying textures and patterns (how great is that patterned tile backsplash in the kitchen?!)

The living rooms has a bit more color + warmth than the other three spaces above, and here is another view of the dinind room, with a great mid century credenza, mint green lamp, and oversized mirror... not to mention, that fab chandelier over the table!

Love the above olive green kitchen cabinets - this shade works SO well with marble counters and black hardware.

The above and below spaces both start with a neutral base, but include some of my favorite design elements: shades of blue, metallic gold pieces, and fiddle leaf figs... all good things in my book :)

And in this modern loft kitchen below, I love that the weathered wood island, leather stools, and the green cabinets + backsplash add a ton of warmth to an otherwise stark white space.

Such great work, yes? I just love how these spaces feel both modern + warm (not always an easy thing to do!), and have a truly Californian vibe to them.

Tasty Eats // Easy Dill Pickles

I LOVE dill pickles, so I was so excited to come across this homemade dill pickle recipe from Food & Wine recently. Especially since I'm growing my first actual pickling cucumbers this year, I decided this would be the perfect recipe to try out on my first harvest... Well, I'm happy to report that it was a success!! These dill pickles are delish - so crunchy and refreshing, with plenty of dill and garlic flavor. If you like dill pickles, I definitely recommend giving this recipe a try!

 

Easy Dill Pickles

- 1 1/2 cups distilled vinegar
- 1/8 cup sugar
- 4 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 tsp. mustard seeds
- 1 tsp. coriander seeds
- 3/4 tsp. dill seeds
- 2 cups hot water
- 2 lbs. pickling cucumbers (like Kirby), sliced 1/4 inch thick
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped dill
- 3 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped

In a large, heatproof measuring cup, combine the vinegar, sugar, salt, mustard seeds, coriander seeds, and dill seeds with the hot water. Stir until the sugar and salt is dissolved. Let the brine cool.

In a large bowl, toss the cucumbers with the fresh dill and garlic. Pour the brine over the cucumbers, and turn to coat. Place a small plate over the cucumbers to keep them submerged, then cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Refrigerate the pickles overnight, stirring once or twice. Serve cold.

If not serving right away, transfer pickles and brine to an airtight container, and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week. Enjoy!

These sort of remind me of my favorite pickled dilly green beans in terms of flavor... And since I love pickled everything, I want to try these spicy pickled vegetables from Food & Wine, too. Yum!
