Hi friends! One of the projects I've been working on the last couple of months is a beach house on the Oregon coast. The main living room/ great room is one big open plan space, and is entirely connected and open to the kitchen and dining area... which in this case, is a great thing because almost two full sides of the room are wall-to-wall glass windows, looking out to the ocean, so you can see the view from everywhere.
Anyway, to help define the sitting areas as well as the dining area, it was really important to incorporate area rugs that worked well together, but were also different enough to create distinct "zones". Below, along with a few natural fiber options, are some of our favorite rugs that we considered:

I liked these because they all read "beach house" to me, without being too literal. Also, nearly all of them would work well together color-wise and style wise, even though they're an eclectic mix of traditional + modern.
