And just like that, it's Thursday! How did that happen?!
Anyway, today I'm sharing one of my favorite looks in a kitchen - gray painted cabinets, and specifically, gray islands. I'm a big fan of mixing white and gray in a kitchen... it keeps it neutral and timeless, yet isn't boring or one-dimensional with an entirely white kitchen.
Here are some of my favorite kitchens with gray islands:
And, there's a good reason I have gray islands on the brain! My parents are currently undergoing a complete kitchen remodel, and I'm helping them with the design scheme.
We decided to do shaker-style white exterior wall cabinets with a light gray island, similar in style to a few of the above examples. The overall feel will be light and bright and airy!
My parents LOVE to cook (and are really good at it!), so I'm super excited for them! I think it will not only be a beautiful space to hang out & entertain in, but will also be a really good, hard-working kitchen that they can enjoy for many years to come. Really excited to see it come together :)
Anyway, I'll be sharing the actual design scheme tomorrow, as well as a few progress photos throughout the process... If you're like me and enjoy following along with renovations and that sort of thing, get excited!
Happy Thursday, all!
